PINK NOISE

Pink noise is similar to ‘white noise’ but with frequencies that are deeper, more relaxing and easier on the ear. Pink noise is often found in nature, such as sounds of the ocean, waterfalls and rain.

A study [1] has measured subjects’ brain activity while they slept. The results showed adults listening to pink noise whilst they slept experienced improvements to ‘deep sleep’ (the more restful stage of sleep). It has also shown an even larger improvement during daytime napping when compared to napping with no noise.

Track 2 on the Aroma-snooze is a ‘Pink Noise’ track which will play on a continuous uninterrupted loop. This emulates similar sounds heard whilst a baby is in the womb.

Track 4 on the Aroma-snooze is a natural ‘Rain’ sound incorporating the same Pink Noise frequencies. This will also play on a continuous uninterrupted loop.

HEARTBEAT SOUND

Often babies who are cradled near the mother’s left chest (heart) and rocked softly, are comforted and fall asleep. This is likely because whilst in the womb, the baby would be peacefully resting to the background sounds of their mothers heartbeat.

The Aroma-Snooze incorporates a calm and steady heartbeat sound at a low and rhythmic pitch. This helps the child feel a sense of connection to their care giver and may be useful to ease to the child.

We understand and appreciate that every child is unique and so we have incorporated several sound tracks for you to experience and enjoy.
